AS YOUR #1 Vanuatu Builder
With the arrival of Cyclone Pam it became necessary to commit more time to building homes that will survive seismic and cyclonic stresses.
Working alongside my engineer I have developed different methods of ensuring homes and buildings survive.
With the help of up to 40 staff I have been able to achieve quality in a timely manner. Vanuatu is a very peculiar wok environment where staff need to be guided and motivated and rewarded. Not in the simple way of money but teaching them skills and then supporting them as those requirements are achieved. This can only be done with continual supervision and encouraging the boys to embrace their achievements and maybe even do better. My staff have been with me for 8 years and working for my wife for many years before that.

How we work
For roofing I can supply you with many roof material options, whether cedar shingles, plasticised rubber membrane from California
or simply Zinclaume or Colorbond roofing in Corrugate, Trimdeck and Trough Section profiles. In exotic metals we can supply zinc, copper and even colorbond Euro Tray panel roofing as seen on the waterfront house.
For home builds I work with you to design what you want with my Cad system which greatly helps final design as we can have ‘walk throughs’ to get a true feel for spaces within the house.
Then we discuss products, this has been anticorrosive like the Eton home where every door handle and hinge is unlacquered solid brass and every other item considered for its corrosion resistance.
Once in agreement, we can get building to the same standard as NZ and Aus. The difference all my clients have found is my interest in doing whats right for the project, whether it be colours, material selection and overseas sourcing. We travel to Australia to select each kitchen and usually feature lighting for each project. We use suppliers in Vanuatu as much as possible to support the local economy, but only if product quality and price work.
